•Two months after the first case.
•A man is seen pulling a cart. Small crimes are shown. A hit-and-run, panty-snatching, and a man’s noodle cart being stolen.
•Apollo goes to the Agency and meets Trucy, recognizes her as bloody ace chick
•Apollo freaks out and goes to the hospital after hearing about Phoenix. He gets “hired” to find the guy who hit him. Phoenix promises Apollo will get a “real client” soon.
•They return to the agency and meet Guy Eldoon. Eldoon wants his noodle stand, Trucy wants her panties.
•They go to Kitaki mansion and meet Plum Kitaki and Alita Tiala, Trucy gives Alita a flyer.
•They try to go to People park but get kicked out by Ema. Apollo digs through trash and finds evidence (Hospital slippers and a broken car mirror).
•Plum explains that someone was shot and killed in People park, and then laments that her underwear had been stolen.
•They go to Guy Eldoon’s “house” and chat with him. Guy hates the Meraktis Clinic. Trucy and Apollo sneak into the Meraktis clinic garage and find panties and evidence. Apollo only then discovers that the panties are magic.
•They go back to the hospital and chat with Phoenix about the Meraktis clinic.
•They go back to the agency and get hired by Alita Tiala.
•They go back to People park and meet Klavier, who is helpful, and Ema, who is Not helpful.
•They get cocaine from Phoenix to bribe Ema with. Phoenix talks about Klavier.
•Ema is now helpful and gives them information. They learn that the victim is Pal Meraktis, who was shot in the right temple while dragging a noodle stand. They find underwear and Wocky’s knife. Ema mentions there’s a witness to the murder.
•They try to go to the detention center but are too late. They only hear Winfred and Wocky arguing.
•Apollo has no idea what his client is like and freaks out a little.
•Phoenix doesn’t go to the trial, so Trucy decides to stand in court with Apollo.
•Wocky insists that he take the blame for the crime, but his dad’s like “no son”
•As the trial began, the Judge asked Prosecutor Gavin if the demons of his affair seven years ago had led to his long absence from the courtroom, to which Gavin simply replied that he was busy with his band but was now back in order to face down the one who had bested his brother.
•Gavin gives an opening statement and explains that Wocky is confessing to his own motive.
•Wocky explains that he had a botched operation and wanted revenge because Meraktis hadn’t dealt with his wounds, Klavier backed this up with facts.
◦Wocky discovers that he’s going to die soon.
•He called Wesley Stickler to the stand. Stickler says the victim was shot in the forehead. Apollo objected, referencing the autopsy report. Klavier explains that the victim turned his head, and makes fun of Apollo’s forehead.
•Apollo argued that the pistol had no fingerprints on it, which meant that if the killer had dropped the weapon and ran, there would still be prints. Apollo showed that Wocky had left a knife at the scene that was covered in prints.
•Stickler testified that he called the police on his cell phone and saw nobody till the cops got there.
•Apollo freaks out because there’s no contradiction. Trucy fakes her own kidnapping at knifepoint. They get a recess. Apollo cries and Trucy explains that he needs to watch for Wesley fiddling with his book.
•Apollo saw Wesley fiddling. He objected to Wesley saying he used “his cell phone” and got him to admit that he’d used a public pay phone instead.
•Stickler testified that he saw the word noodle on the stand as opposed to Eldoon. Apollo objects and points out that Stickler wasn’t where everyone had originally assumed him to be. So why was the victim shot in the right temple and not the left?
•Trucy accused Stickler of being a panty thief. Stickler confesses to this, and is sent to the detention center for his crime. The trial ends for the day.
•Alita Tiala thanked Apollo for his defense, explained that she and Wocky were getting married, but refused to give any background. Alita explained that the mob was shifting away from crime and really irritating Wocky. Apollo and Trucy decide they need to investigate the Meraktis clinic.
•They go to the detention center and once again are unable to talk to Wocky. They talk to Stickler instead. They learn nothing from this.
•They go find Plum Kitaki. She tells them Wocky is a baby who can’t actually fire a gun. However, the gun did belong to the Kitakis, and only the Kitakis can access their gun cabinet. Plum rants about Alita and how she’s lowkey suspicious. She tells them that they need some clean money.
•Apollo and Trucy dig through more trash and go back to Eldoon’s. Eldoon thanks them for finding the noodle cart and complains about not having it. He rants about the Meraktis. Apollo deduces that Eldoon was once a surgeon, and Eldoon agrees to help with medical things.
•They go to the detention center and actually find Wocky!!! Impressive!!!
•Apollo and Trucy learn how seriously Wocky was hurt, and how he felt about it. They also ask about how Wocky met Alita, but he doesn’t talk.
•Wocky complains to Apollo about Meraktis and how he was paid off by the Rivales family. He also moans that his father wants to start doing legal things. Wocky wants to be a gangster.
•Apollo asks about the gun and Wocky admits he took it to the park and aimed at Meraktis. He didn’t remember shooting, but he figured it had to be him.
•Apollo and Trucy go to the clinic but can’t get in, so they go to the park. There’s a group of screaming girls around Klavier.
•Klavier’s motorcycle stopped working cause his tailpipe clogged. He’s taking it to get it fixed to avoid Ema.
•They head into the park and meet Ema, who’s trying to work on footprint stuff. She tells Apollo and Trucy that she doesn’t like Klavier because he caused Phoenix’s disbarment. They want to know more, but she said it would be better for them to find out on their own.
•Apollo does Ema’s job and figures out the footprints. (Wocky and Wesley). There’s one footprint by the cart that doesn’t match anything.
•Apollo looks at the shoe and finds a toe print. Ema figures out they’re from the Meraktis clinic. Cause she can’t do her job, she thanks them by getting Apollo and Trucy into the clinic.
•In the clinic, they find a pair of cute sandals, a bunch of noodle bowls(big fan of Eldoon’s), and a missing pair of slippers on the rack.
•They hear a crash in the back and run to the office. The intruder’s gone when they get there. Apollo wants to call the police but Trucy wants to investigate first.
•They find a lamp with a broken bulb with a red-pink mark on the cord.
•They find a safe in the back of the office and use cocaine to break in. They find some files and a cat statue. They figure out Alita Tiala was Wocky’s nurse. They also find a bullet lodged in the safe. Trucy grabbed it, because that’s legal.
•They go back to People Park. They compare the fingerprints in the slippers to the ones in the sandals with Ema’s help. They match.
•Apollo and Trucy go back to the hospital. Apollo gets mad at Phoenix for not telling him about the case 7 years ago.
•They go to the detention center and talk to Wocky. Wocky identified the pair of sandals as Alita’s. Apollo showed Wocky the report with Alita’s name on it and got the story of their first meeting.
•They go to Eldoon’s. Eldoon explains the report and was horrified by it-- Wocky is very close to death. Eldoon explains that Alita also must’ve known how bad his condition was, but never told Wocky how bad it was.
•The next morning, Phoenix decides to watch the trial, and explains that Alita Tiala is taking the stand.
•The trial begins. The judge goes back over Wesley’s testimony and Klavier calls Alita to the stand.
•Alita claimed she didn’t want to testify, but decided to tell the truth. She said that when the family check-up had come, Wocky had gotten angry and taken a gun to hunt down the doctor. Klavier confirmed that the bullet matched a gun belonging to the Kitakis. Apollo argues that Alita is just as suspicious-- she had access to the scene and somehow knew Wocky’s intent that day.
•Klavier argued that it would be irrational for Alita to kill Meraktis for Wocky, but Apollo presented the chart to the court and proved there was a connection between Alita and Meraktis.
•Tiala argued that she didn’t have any current ties to the victim, but Apollo presented her sandals that were found at the clinic. Alita didn’t have an explanation for this, but Klavier told her that she could either admit that the sandals were hers or do a toe print test.
•She testified that she was going to warn Meraktis of Wocky’s intentions. She said she didn’t have any sort of secrets about the incident. Apollo objected and presented the chart, asking why it had been locked away so tightly. He said that Meraktis was unable to admit that he couldn’t help Wocky and proved that Alita was in the same situation. Alita claimed she had no reason to return to the clinic for a six month old medical chart, but Apollo tell-spotted that she was playing with her ring. The check-up results had come in, and she was in trouble if she didn’t destroy the document.
•Tiala admitted she’d gone to see him because of the chart, but she claimed nothing else had happened.
•Apollo objected using the bullet from the safe, saying that if the ballistic markings matched the murder weapon, then something had happened at the clinic on that day. A ballistic test was done, and Apollo’s theory was confirmed.
•Apollo claimed that Alita had been holding the doctor at gunpoint, convincing him to open the safe. Apollo also claimed that she didn’t care about Wocky at all, which she admitted to. Wocky was upset that she only wanted him for money.
•Klavier protested that if Alita had gotten Meraktis to open the safe, she would’ve taken the papers. Tiala testified that she had never taken Wocky’s gun and that she was the intruder they found.
•Tiala claimed it didn’t matter, since the weapon was Wocky’s gun and Wocky was at the scene of the crime. Klavier re-established the scene from yesterday, but Apollo objected with the contradiction from the day prior. Klavier then asked Apollo to explain the contradiction, and there was only one thing that made sense-- the killer was inside the murder cart all along.
•Apollo presented the slippers with Alita’s toe prints, showing they matched the shoe prints leading out of the noodle stand. Apollo presented the noodle bowls, showing that the noodle stand had been emptied at some point.
•Alita testified that she’d gone to the clinic, talked to the doctor, and left. Apollo tell-spotted her rubbing the side of her neck, and presented the lamp from Meraktis’s office. He asked her to remove her scarf, and her neck showed bruising from strangulation. She testified that she’d been attacked and blacked out, making it impossible for her to kill Meraktis.
•The judge wanted to end the cross but Prosecutor Gavin objected, asking Apollo to restate what he knew. Apollo restated the order of events: Wocky found out his medical results, swore revenge, leading Tiala to try to get the chart back, ultimately leading to her getting attacked. Meraktis now had a “dead” body on his hands, so he stole the noodle cart to carry her. He brought the body into the park to throw it into the river, but ran into Wocky. Wesley Stickler yelled, waking Alita up, and she fired the pistol into Meraktis’s right temple.
•Tiala refused to admit to this. Klavier pointed out that it was irrational to use a noodle cart to haul a body when Meraktis had a car in the clinic. Trucy objected, claiming the car wasn’t functional. Klavier pointed out that it had been running normally when it hit Phoenix. Apollo presented Trucy’s magic panties to the court, restating that Stickler had ditched the panties in the tailpipe of the car, disabling the vehicle.
•Tiala admitted to the crime, saying she’d shot him in fear and run away as soon as Stickler had gone to use the public phone. She then revealed that she’d picked Apollo as her attorney in the hopes that he would suck. Wocky is declared not guilty.
•Wocky is angry that Alita confessed to the murder, ignoring the fact that he’d been used. His dad shows up and calls him dumb, and Wocky calls his dad dumb. Apollo presented the medical chart, saying that his dad changed lifestyles to save Wocky’s life. Winfred was able to find a doctor able to operate on Wocky’s heart. Wocky ran out of the courthouse, and Winfred thanked the defense.
•Trucy asked Apollo to stay with the agency, and he agreed, thinking that Trucy was helpful and knew about his ability, though he wasn’t at all a fan of Phoenix. Trucy invited Apollo to watch her magic show and grab some Eldoon’s.
