Sorry to be the awkward one, but I don't have any way to put my voice 'over' the backing track. Is there any way to resolve this?
I'd say the best way is to use Audacity (http://www.audacityteam.org/)
It's a free audio recording program that's really really good. Import the back track, and then record your voice (it will automatically put it on a different track). If you have a mac, you can do the same thing in Garageband! Just make a second track.
Btw hi I'm still alive just been extremely busy. I'll record and post my audition tomorrow!!
Thanks for the advice. Do we know if there's an end date for the auditions? I'm getting a laptop for Christmas, so I'll download Audacity onto that rather than the one I'm using now. It's kinda the "family" one.
Sval/Kurtis. I can play the piano, write music and lyrics, sing and voice act, and cry. Like, I'm super good at that.

Im not sure if i can combine the tracks but until i can i can uhh... play it in the backround and sing over it?
Actor, (i wish to improve here) singer and writer. Average at all three. I can also play the claranet kinda. not a pro. My Vocal range is quite large, but my prefered range is quite low. I can be very loud, and blunt and my spelling sucks. I am very passionate however.
