omg MadFox I'm dead. I'm dead, you're dead, everyone is dead from that congratulations on killing us all. On another note, if Mia comes back in AA6 I will cryyyy I need it so bad I love that girl. She's my mom and my queen. I'm looking forward to AA6 so much like honestly if September came here like right now I wouldn't even be mad about summer. I'm not that sure whether I actually want her to return or not. I mean, is it likely that she will give Phoenix a piece of her mind because he acted like a madman towards Apollo and Trucy and the world? No. And if she simply ignored that he has obviously lost his sanity, what she probably would do if she appeared in the game, it would be unnatural as heck. Because at least Mia shouldn't act as if everything was all right with Wright although it isn't all right at all! |

If Capcom did do it, they would definitely pretend like nothing happened (like what they did in all of Dual Destinies. Basically, they're never going to acknowledge AA:AJ again.) It wouldn't even be justified why she was acting that way. You're right that it would be unnatural... but I'm still weak for Mia, man. I would be fine if they kept her to such a minor part where her being mad at Phoenix isn't even relevant. I mean. Yeah. I dunno. But at the very least, with Maya and Kuh'rain and all back again, she deserves a reference. |

from what I /have/ seen, and my impression of dual destinies, my hopes aren't set too high pfft

tbh i feel really out of place by saying i'm not looking forward to aa6? xD from what I /have/ seen, and my impression of dual destinies, my hopes aren't set too high pfft but i'd personally love mia to come back at some point, despite the fact it's probably really unlikely now  that's cool too, man. i know some people like absolutely hated dual destinies, and personally i like actually really liked it lol. obviously, there's still a lot of questions left unanswered, like the famous "what were behind kristoph's black psyche-locks?" "when will trucy and apollo know that they're siblings?" and, of course "will capcom ever acknowledge the fact that phoenix was and thus still is lowkey kind of a dick?" so dd wasn't perfect, but like i still ate it up, rip. i feel you about mia like it's totally a long-shot but like a girl can dream. XD |

the characters were good, too many precious characters i wanted to protect
but the plot, i didn't like the plot all that much tbh
and it could have been so much better had it done the things it didn't do xD

I loved DD's plot. I wasn't quite as enthralled as I was with AJ, but Turnabout for Tomorrow really had me on my toes.

i liked the cosmic turnabout purely for sol starbuck and yuri cosmos, they made it tolerable xD
but i guess because i knew the spoilers i didn't like turnabout for tomorrow?
i did like the first case too, but my all-time fav is the monstrous turnabout xD

Like, it wasn't a bad case! I just can't really describe why I didn't like it. The side characters sort of grated on me a little bit, I think. Here's my dirty little secret, guys... I didn't like AJ much at all. *gasp*, I know. Don't get me wrong, I liked Trucy (and initially Kristoph, before, y'know) and thought Klavier was cool and stuff. But I've always been like a Phoenix fangirl so Naruhobo being a jerk sucked, and yeah, I was kinda salty that Apollo was stealing the limelight and stuff. I honestly didn't even really like Apollo. I'm glad DD fleshed him out as a character more and now I like him more! But he's probs my least fave of the attorney trio... AA6 looks promising in treating Apollo with the respect a main character like he is deserves though. I'm excited about that. even if he and trucy are never going to find out they're related, uggggggghhhhh. |

I was so irritated by how phoenix took over apollo's role /in his own game/ tbh tho but i love apololo with a passion and trucy too

DD's a lot less fun playing for the second time. AJ? You can play that one 6 times over and still discover new things each time. Like the locket. XD

I love AJ so much for the reason that you can play it time and time over and it'll still be interesting and stuff!!!!! and It was actually done well with the linking of the cases lmao
whereas with DD i felt it was kinda forced in last second? idk it didn't feel like it was... planned, since the plot point was left too late?
mm, i keep missing stuff in aj and when i learn new things i'm just like >:O whoa

nah nah nah fam I agree with you, the whole Phantom thing and Athena and stuff seemed totally out of the blue. Like it made sense and it was executed well, but like, the timing totally caught the player off-guard. As for AJ, well I don't often replay the whole game lol  I just sorta replay my fave cases, so I guess idk about that. |

The thing is, I feel the Phantom plot point was actually really poorly done, it had a similar theme to T&T (accusing someone you have known to be trustworthy)
But I feel DD tried too hard to keep it secretive for too long, and so the player didn't know what they were pursuing until they basically spoon-fed it to you?
Like the characters were all memorable and good tbh
But in my opinion it was just all done pretty poorly xD
Im so bitter about Dual Destinies diddly darn

It was like annoying that the Phantom doesn't have a real motive aside from being part of an unknown plot organization with unknown origins or goals, and is likely still out there completely unhindered. That part was sloppy af. It's true they also made it super obvious, which was irritating when you just wanted to make the guess and feel smart. But making Bobby the killer, I think, was pretty cool. Also the history between like Blackquill and Athena was touching. Yeah, I just... I can see the flaws but I still enjoyed my experience with the game.

Bobby being the killer actually broke me i love him too much
I felt he was just singled out because he was a convenient target, and surely Simon would have noticed something was up over the course of the game

I'm nervous for AA6, but I've heard it's pretty good. I had to leave Tumblr because of the spoilers (and the negativity).
I liked the Phantom plot, though having him belong to a larger organization that we've literally never seen the effects of before was just... eh? If cases 2 and 3 had been used to tie into that larger organization (OR AJ'S UNTIED PLOT THREADS) I think it could've been a lot better. Maya's going to hate me for this, but I actually really hated the Monstrous Turnabout. It didn't tie into anything else. At least Turnabout Big Top helped develop Franziska as a character and explained why Miles disappeared! The only reason you couldn't take the Monstrous Turnabout out of the game entirely was because it established Simon Blackquill as the prosecutor and Bobby as the detective. That's literally it.
Tbh, AAI2 was probably the best executed Ace Attorney game. I won't spoil, but the plot was magnificent and clever and every detail contributed to the game as a whole. I didn't see the ending coming, but it was foreshadowed so well throughout the game that I can't believe I didn't guess what was going to happen. Apollo Justice definitely had better characters, and the original trilogy's final cases were better, but AAI2 didn't have a single bad or irrelevant case. It was just so good all the way through.

I wish we had a game, like even an AAI3 where Franziska would tie up loose ends on the Phantom case tbh, a friend of mine suggested it actually, because like... it's hard to believe interpol wouldn't be aware of the Phantom y'know? Also, the fact that /Simon/ was aware, yet nobody from interpol was even so much as /mentioned/ and like... nobody else knew really but metis and simon is just a bit... lame imo, they had a chance to use other characters to tie it up behind the scenes, and I know Miles slightly tied up the Phantom's 'True Identity' but in the long run, it wasn't much at all.
But the reason i liked The Monstrous Turnabout was /because/ it didn't link to anything else xD[and the characters were wacky and i liked them] I'd much rather have 4 non-linking cases done well than four linking cases done poorly like I feel Dual Destinies was [ik it was 5 but shh] but like, i felt that TMT actually did Apollo and Athena's relationship some justice too, because we get to see some pretty insightful stuff into like how they get along and stuff like that, and how they react to all the crazy stuff going on [another comment i've heard is the 'warding charm' joke is overused, but i don't think it is xD]
[Also I actually sorta liked turnabout big top, bcause Acro is probably my favourite villain whOOPS]
I've only seen like part of AAI2, but so far it does seem pretty good [despite debeste being a source of irritation with his whiny-ness] but I believe I read some spoilers but they've completely escaped my mind
I liked the case where there was the lady covered in mink-ferret things that was pretty hilarious in a livestream but like, yeah I don't really like the trilogy as much, because it all just seems a bit... dull at times? Except for T&T which was probably my favourite out of the three,,

Seriously. AAI2 is fantastic I love it and everyone should watch it because it's never coming to America. Anyway I just needed to jump in and clear my boy's good name because I love that sweet summer child. |

ALSO WOW PERSONAL ANNOUNCEMENT TIME!
my family's going on vacation to Europe (we start travelling today and then our flight leaves Tues), which is gonna be lit. cuz I've never been to Europe and it's gonna be a whole 2 1/2 weeks so i'm not gonna be on much, probably. I'm sure there'll be down moments where I can hop on and catch up to what's going on, but I'm not gonna make much actual progress, know what I mean? So I'll see you guys around but I'll be off most of the time, so have fun and make good choices!

I played the fan translation using an emulator and it was so much fun. Make sure you pick an emulator that uses a microphone though because you only use it once and it's during the super intense boss fight at the end of the game. I played the whole game except for the finale and it was terrible XD
