So oddly enough, this wouldn't be my first time taking part in a project where my focus was lawyers. I just got out of a show called "God Bless You Mr. Rosewater", a piece by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman. Yes, that Menken and Ashman. Of Little Shop of Horrors, Beauty and the Beast, Little Mermaid, and Aladdin Fame. Anyways GBYMR was their first collaborative piece together and I was fortunate enough to have participated in a run of it. In it, I played Conniving Lawyer Norman Mushari, attempted to get the titular Mr. Rosewater declared legally insane, so as to cause a shift of his foundations wealth, during which time he can snag a small fortune.
For those interested in seeing my stupid face from during the show, here's what I got out of playing the slimeball lawyer. Trust me, I had to go through a few different iterations to get down just wanted from a corrupt attorney.
This show was heavily laden with 70's cheese.
